At Fast Forward Ministries, we have 7 core values based on the Word of God that guide our vision and mission to see people from every nation, tribe, and tongue come into the Kingdom. May the LORD bless you as you read the core tenets of being an evangelistic organization centered on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth:
- The Word of God (Read It, Preach It, Teach It, Live It): The Holy Bible is the infallible, inherent Word of God and is true for all time and all people throughout the generations of mankind on the earth and is relevant for everything pertaining to life and godliness. Paul admonished Timothy to “do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” God’s word also says “my people perish for a lack of knowledge” and fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Therefore, when you recognize that Jesus Christ was the Word from the very beginning, a personal relationship with the LORD must be centered on learning and meditating on His Word day and night. Lastly, knowing God’s word helps us to stand firm against all the schemes of the enemy against our lives and live out God’s perfect will for our lives (Psalm 1, Psalm 18:30, Proverb 30:5, Hosea 4:6, John 1:1-5, Ephesians 6:10-18, 2 Timothy 2:25, 2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:3).
- Prayer: Jesus is the perfect example as our Lord & Savior in showing us that prayer is absolutely essential to live according to God’s Word, see His will come to pass in our lives, and to see the power of the Holy Spirit operate in and through our lives to accomplish everything God has planned and purposed for our lives. Additionally, God didn’t just send his Son, but after Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, He sent us “another helper” to teach us all things, lead us into all truth, and pray through us when we don’t know what we ought to prayer. This also emphasizes our need to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in other tongues (2 Chronicles 7:14, Luke 5:16, Luke 6:12-13, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 2, Acts 19:1-7, Romans 8:26-27, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24, Jude 1:20-25)
- Fasting (Crucifying One’s Flesh): This ministry is not called Fast Forward Ministries for no reason. Fasting should play a major role in the life of every believer, just like prayer and studying the Word of God (among other things including, but not limited to, the things mentioned below). Not only did Jesus pray continually, but he also fasted and received the food that came from His Father in Heaven that resulted in the greatest ministry of supernatural results by the Holy Spirit the world has ever seen. Combining fasting and prayer yields supernatural results such as signs, wonders, miracles, and the other works of the anointing of the Holy Spirit that would not happen otherwise to confirm the message of the Gospel. The power of fasting and prayer has been outlined throughout God’s Word time and time again and is something we should do regularly (Ezra 8:21, Nehemiah 1:3-4, Esther 4:15-16, Daniel 10, Joel 2:12-17, Luke 2:36-27, Luke 4:1-20, Luke 5:35 Matthew 4:1-17, Acts 13:2-3, Acts 14:23).
- Evangelism (Sharing the Gospel): We are called to share the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ & His Kingdom to anyone and everyone, demonstrate God’s power as a sign to the unbeliever to receive salvation & freedom in Christ, and to make disciples of all nations to do the same. Proverbs says the those who win souls are wise. Jesus said that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few and that we are to ask Him to send out workers to bring in the harvest. Additionally, he also says that those who win souls are paid good wages. If we truly do the work of making disciples of all nations, we will fulfill the great commission and send out many workers into the harvest to bring in this last days harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God (Proverb 11:30, Matthew 9:35-38, Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18, John 4:34-38, Acts 1:8).
- Stewardship, Giving & Generosity: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” The most famous verse of the Bible (John 3:16) gives us the greatest example of giving in human history. It is in light of God’s love through this gift of his perfect son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our salvation and eternal life that we recognize that without Him, we have nothing to offer anyone. However, when we have Jesus as our LORD and Savior, everything we have belongs to Him and is surrendered to Him for His plans and purposes. Tithing (giving a tenth of everything God gives you) is mentioned many times in the Old Testament and is encouraged by Jesus in the New Testament. Additionally, Jesus teaches extensively on stewardship and sowing seed. Paul also talks about the role of offerings and the blessing of sowing seeds into the Kingdom. At the end of the day, we are called to be generous on every occasion; and as we do, God will pour out his blessing upon us to continue to be a blessing to others as a witness of Jesus Christ (Genesis 14:20, Genesis 28:20-22, Leviticus 27:30, Deuteronomy 26:1-5, Deuteronomy 28:1-14, 2 Kings 4:9-10, Proverb 28:27, Malachi 3:10-12, Matthew 6:21, Matthew 25:40, Luke 8:1-3, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15, Philippians 4:11-19)
- Salvation in Jesus Christ Alone & The Soon Return of Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ was both fully God and fully man when he came over 2,000 years ago for the divine purpose set out in Genesis 3:15 as the seed of the woman to crush the head of the serpent and his seed. When he died on the cross and rose again on the third day, he took back the keys of death, hell, and the grave and made all who trust in Him have right standing with God. Not only that, but before He ascended to the right hand of the Father, we gave us the promise that He would return the same we He went up. Additionally, the Bible talks about the “rapture” or “the catching away of the Church” that will precede Christ second coming at the end of the 7-year tribulation period where antichrist and false prophet under the authority of the dragon described in revelation will take control of the earth and seek to deceive the whole world away from Jesus Christ to worship the beast & his image. This will be the worst time in human history. However, those of us who are alive and remain when Jesus comes from His Church will be spared from experiencing the wrath of God on the earth. Lastly, at the end of the tribulation, this age will come to an end with the physical return of Jesus Christ to defeat the dragon, antichrist and false prophet and establish his millennial reign on the earth where the saints will reign with him for 1,000 years. Before that can begin, the antichrist and false prophet must first be thrown alive into the lake of fire and the dragon (the devil) must be chained in the abyss by the archangel Michael. After the 1,000 years is up, Jesus will destroy all remaining enemies of the Kingdom and eternity will be set in stone for everyone. (John 14:1-3, Luke 21:5-36, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11, Revelation 3:10, Revelation 19:11-16)
- Living Ready to Meet the LORD: Knowing God’s plan from now until eternity is set in stone, what are we to do? We are to live lives fully surrendered unto Him, pursuing holiness, living by faith, and everything else His Word commands us to do until He comes for His Bride (the Church). (Matthew 25:1-13, Hebrews 11:6, Hebrews 12:14, 2 Peter 3:8-13)
